Payment Processing in Osmind (Stripe)

Osmind integrates with Stripe to bring payment processing directly within the platform.

Our direct integration with Stripe eliminates the need for any 3rd party logins or payment processors—you'll be able to accept payments and charge for services right from your Osmind account.

How to Enable the Integration

Payment Processing is available for all plans on Osmind, and is included within your subscription at no additional cost. Stripe processing fees apply to transactions, more information on this can be found below.

To enable payment processing, please submit a payment processing form here.

We'll use your submission to create a Stripe account for you. You will not need to log into Stripe directly, all payment processing will be accessible and visible to you within your account.

Pre-existing or personal Stripe accounts cannot be connected to Osmind. You'll need to follow the steps to create your Osmind instance of Stripe.

Accepted Forms of Payment via Stripe

The following types of cards can be used (accepted from over 190 countries):

• Credit card

• Debit card

• HSA / FSA card

All major credit card companies, as well as local credit cards, can be accepted through the platform, including American Express, Discover, Visa, Mastercard, and others.

Processing Fees

There is a 2.9% + .30c transaction fee for card payments through the platform. This fee is standard across all cards (Amex, Discover, Visa, Mastercard). The platform integrates with Stripe, which is Level 1 PCI-compliant.

Payment processing can be set up internationally within the following list of countries currently supported by Osmind:

• Australia

• Belgium

• Canada

• Czech Republic

• Denmark

• Ireland

• Netherlands

• New Zealand

• Portugal

• Singapore

• Slovenia

• Sweden

• Switzerland

• United Kingdom

Billing patients in the same country will not incur additional Stripe fees. However, if a provider is set up to do banking in one country, and bills a patient with banking in another country, then international Stripe fees will be collected & added to the patients' total fee:

• 1% fee for international payment cards

• 1% fee if currency conversion is required

Please note that Osmind does not cover the Stripe fees for refunds: If you refund a patient within the platform, the refund will post on the patient's method of payment within 5-10 business days. Patients receive the full amount of the payment refunds. Please note that Osmind no longer covers processing fees when refunding payments—patients don't pay any processing fees; the processing fees will come out from the provider's side.

How Osmind Utilizes Stripe

Osmind uses Stripe's platform to process credit cards, and manage verification of and payments to your bank account. Most advanced functionality, like recurring payments and invoicing, is custom-built by Osmind. This allows us to more deeply integrate certain functionality, and also saves you on fees, since you do not need to pay Stripe's fees for these additional products. For example, Stripe normally charges an additional 0.7% percent to manage subscriptions. As part of this, your account with Stripe is only accessible via Osmind. It is not possible to directly sign into the Stripe dashboard for your account.
